Renovation-friendly living
Many Silver Shores homes were built around 1999, as were many other homes in this part of west Miramar, so it pays to ask about the age and condition of the plumbing, roof, A/C, and water heater, and about what has been updated or remediated. A thorough home inspection is a good idea. Current listings highlight things like renovated kitchens, new roofs, impact windows, new flooring, and updated plumbing. In South Florida, roof and window details also affect insurance and buyer confidence. Check the rules first. Association approval is required, and exterior changes, such as paint colors, roofing, pools, fences, and landscaping, generally need approval. Many projects also need a City of Miramar permit, including roof replacements and tree removal, and the two are separate steps.
