Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with my coach, Neal Oates Jr., on his podcast, Beyond the Velvet Rope, for a conversation that was both personal and meaningful to me.

A Journey That Started With a Leap of Faith
Before real estate, I spent 17 years as a public school educator. Teaching was meaningful work, but deep down I also carried a dream of building something of my own.
That dream eventually led me to take a leap of faith that many people thought was risky — leaving the classroom to pursue entrepreneurship and real estate investing.
At the time, it felt uncertain and even a little scary. But looking back, that leap became the defining moment that helped shape my determination, creativity, and belief in what’s possible when you follow a vision.
What We Talked About
In this episode, Neal and I had a very honest conversation about growth, mindset, and the realities of building something meaningful.
